The Purpose of the Hagan Scholarship is to provide each recipient with the opportunity to obtain a four-year college education and graduate debt-free. ***One of our 2021 seniors was awarded this scholarship last year! (Many local Lodges, districts and state Elks associations award their own scholarships through this program. The Chicago office of the Elks National Foundation will announce the 500 national winners in late April, 2022. All scholarships are in the form of certificates of award conditional upon the full-time enrollment of the winner in an accredited U.S. *Ranging from $1,000 per year to $12,500 per year, Most Valuable Student scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree, on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), in a U.S. *Male and female students compete separately. *The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2022 competition. *If selected, attendance to virtual regional awards ceremony is mandatory. *Be of Hispanic heritage (includes Spain, Brazil, Philippines). *Must enroll at an accredited higher education institution in 2022-2023. *Must have a minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale. *Be currently enrolled in high school and graduating in the spring of 2022. Gold, Silver and Bronze recipients are selected in each category and receive a one-time grant to fund their college education or to fund a community service effort that tackles a social issue. The Youth Awards honors Latino high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community in various categories including: Business & Entrepreneurship, Community Service, Education, Engineering, Green Sustainability, Healthcare & Science, Media & Entertainment, Public Service & Social Justice, Sports & Fitness and Technology. The Hispanic Heritage Youth Award Scholarship was founded in 1998 by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation. *Use the scholarship within 12 months of being awarded the scholarship, or by the spring 2024 semester. *Enroll in a recognized institution of higher education within 12 months of being awarded the Medina EC scholarship, or by the spring 2024 semester. *If High School Senior or adult who is currently enrolled in school, applicant must submit transcript with grades from Fall 2022 semester of the 2022/2023 school year *Plan on attending a recognized institution of higher education to pursue a certification, associate degree, bachelor’s degree or master’s degree. Applicant must: *Have at least a 3.0 grade point average at their current or previous educational institution (high school, junior college, university, technical school, etc.). If applying for the High School Senior Scholarship, you must be less than 21 years of age on the application deadline and be graduating in 2023. If the membership is held by a non-natural person or entity, only the designated voter or his/her dependents are eligible.Ģ. Listed below you will find some information for the Medina Electric Cooperative Scholarship. This could possibly mean having your ENTIRE degree paid for if you receive this scholarship and you are a dual credit graduate. This means that all of your courses will transfer and you will begin work right away on your upper level courses. If you are a student who is graduating with your associate's degree, Sul Ross State University-RGC will accept you as core complete. Your teaching certification must be intended to teach middle school or high school STEM courses. Noyce Scholars must also commit to teach in a high need public school for 2 years within a 6 year period following graduation. Applicants must be accepted to Sul Ross State University as a math or biology major. They will be awarding about 6-8 scholarships for this year's scholarship season. This scholarship is aimed towards students who want to pursue a teaching career as a STEM teacher. The NOYCE Scholars Program is a scholarship opportunity that will pay up to 2 full years of your pursued degree.
